I have received doctoral and postdoctoral training in clinical and physiological psychology and human sexuality at the University of Chicago (Ph.D., 1979) and University of Washington (post-doctoral, 1984-1989).  I am licensed in the State of Washington as a psychologist for independent practice (License PY1387) and participate in annual continuing education to maintain my license.  In addition to the practice of psychotherapy, I have taught Psychology at various universities since 1975 and am currently a part-time faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington.  I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Washington State Psychological Association, the Northwest Alliance for Psychoanalytic Practice, the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists, and the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the US.
