Client Rights

  • You have the right to choose the psychotherapist and the treatment method you want to work with. You have the right set the goal of therapy and to end treatment at any time.

  • You have the right to ask questions about anything pertaining to your therapy. You have the right to review and/or have a copy of your records. You have a right to know of the transmission of any personal medical information to a third party (e.g., insurance company, physician).

  • If you are concerned about any aspect of your treatment, please talk to me about it. If you are dissatisfied with my response and/or feel I have treated you unfairly or unethically, you have the right to contact the Washington State Licensing Board.

  • You have the right to know the diagnosis I use in any communications with your insurance company or other third-party payer or agency.

  • You have the right to confidentiality except in certain situations which are described under the Confidentiality tab.
